Best (Wo)man

My best friend Max got married today and honored me greatly by asking me to be his best woman. I really was going to wear a tux but unfortunately well done female tuxes just aren’t out there. I did find this gorgeous gown from Rebel Hope Designs and knew it would be perfect. My shoes are the new release from Gos Boutique and I don’t think I’m ever going to take them off, unless it’s to switch them with the bare feet they came out with this weekend as well. Everyone in the SL Blog world has written about them and it’s all true, they are amazing. The color matching hud with the 250 skin tones already programmed into the site makes it so easy. One of the hardest things for me to do in SL is get a good skin match on anything and this is an answer to my SL prayers.

The wedding was great, in spite of the sim crashing.  At one point we were saying, “everyone get naked, take off everything that isn’t needed”,  and I was like,” I’ll take off my hair before I take off my shoes!!!”.  LOL  Thank you Max and Del for letting me be part of your special day and giving me a reason to get all pretty, new shoes and all *grins*

52 Week Crayola Crayons – Week Two – Rose Dust

Still playing catchup on this challenge.  This look actually came together pretty quickly.  I love every single release that Cold Logic puts out and the latest, well  there might have been a fatpack or 4 in my inventory when I left the store.  Also wearing one of the newer hair releases from Truth.  I’m such a sucker for braids or pigtails.  I am noticing that my pics have crazy eyes and I’m going to try to figure out how to avoid that.  I know I’ve seen a few posts on how to make my eyes face the camera and not all over the place.  I love learning how to take better pics and there are so many resources out there.  I need to get a list together.  I’ll add that to the other eleven billionty things I need to do for the blog *grins*.

Off to spend some time decorating this fabulous skybox from Deco.  I’ve moved back to my boyfriends sim and still haven’t quite settled in.

Fanatik Blogger Search

Fanatik is a new to me store that I discovered today by seeing a notice that they were looking for bloggers. I hit up the marketplace and grabbed a few demo’s to try on after I checked out their website. I really liked the demo’s so I hopped over to the store and made a few purchases. I also joined the group and received the Leopard Pumps with spikes as a gift. I can’t wait to see what future releases there will be since it’s been added to my list of stores to keep an eye on!

One of the hardest things about being a new blogger is finding your niche and wondering if anyone is even reading. I then realized that if I’m blogging for readers then I’m doing it for the wrong reasons. Sure I’d like people to be interested in what I’m wearing but there are 100′s of SL fashion blogs that do the same thing. I decided that for me, I’m doing it because I love SL and the amount of creativity and talent that we are given the opportunity to play around in is amazing. I’m happy to give them both my support and my lindens.

Blogger Challenge – Beauty Base Zero

Portia Pexington issued a challenge, taken from the Hunger Games, Beauty Base Zero.

It’s where you start, imagining your nails are perfect, your hair is tied back and you’re staring into a mirror, or your closet, wondering what the heck you’re going to wear today.

I start my day off pretty much the same way everyday, stripping down to my beauty base zero.  It’s a pretty basic look, whatever is my favorite skin of the hour, my base makeup that never gets taken off and a shoulder length hair style.  Today I grabbed one of the new hairstyles from Truth called Devina and I’m in lust, it’s a style I’d wear in RL if I had the patience to tame my curls.

Drama Queen

A new round of FaMESHed started this week and in spite of feeling the holiday wallet pain, I had to have this dress from Baiastice. I love just about everything they release and will probably be showing off a lot of their stuff in my little corner of the world here. I am wearing the Renee Diva skin from the Arcade Event and even though the look is a little out of my comfort zone, I love the way it came together.

Unfortunately I’m dealing with a failing graphic card so I’m doing the best I can with the pics. One of my goals for this year is to really learn my graphic program and work on improving my photography skills. I am still also working on the blog, getting the links in to the places I shop at as well as a blogroll to the fabulous fashion bloggers I read daily.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!  So I set a goal for 2013 to start blogging, something I’ve always wanted to do and could never seem to get motivated enough to follow through with.  But this year is gonna be different (crosses fingers).  One of my problems is that I’m picky picky and never quite satisfied.  So here goes.

I’ve always been a skin addict but until very recently I had never tried a skin from Glam Affair.  That all changed when my RL boyfriend showed me the Renee skin from the December Arcade.  I wanted every single one of them, including the rares!  So over the last month that wonderful man managed to get me every single one of those skins.  They are all beautiful and in certain situations I can see myself wearing all of them.  My favorites are First Date and Princess, they are going to become my everyday skins, at least for now.
